In the spirit of the recent Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and the upcoming Native American Heritage month, I wanted to share an article from The 19th that highlights Indigenous contributions and perspectives on climate change.

Indigenous perspectives have long been left out of the conversation about climate change. Often even by legal measures. This is a horrible irony, given that Indigenous populations are often the most impacted by climate change, and given that many Indigenous populations have more knowledge about the land they live on than settler populations.

Without further ado, here is the article! Check it out.

About

We are living in a world that is committing suicide. It is time for the spiritually minded people of our world to step forward with new wisdom for living on the Earth. We cannot afford to uphold the status quo any longer. The status quo is killing us and the planet. We can only solve the problems of our time by submitting to a Higher Power of love and compassion greater than ourselves. All spiritually minded people must work together to build systems focused on the greater good, ecology, social justice, and spiritual advancement.
